A guide to great places near The Bailey's Hotel London Kensington

  1. Bombay Brasserie

Holy smokes what a great dinner. Had the prix fix and not only the best Indian I ever had, the best dining we had in London. Naan was flaky, spices were just right. Especially good chicken and lamb.

If you can get the back seat, there are power sockets under the seats and it's quieter. The wifi password is faitmaison (one word all lowercase).

  9. Science Museum (IMAX)

A proper 70mm IMAX theatre, this is a cheaper, less wellknown alternative to the BFI IMAX at Southbank and all the fake Odeon IMAX cinemas. Get here early to get good seats.

  10. Dinosaur Gallery

My 5 year old loved it. Get in early though as the queues can be huge!

  11. Natural History Museum

Opened in 1881, the museum facade uses terracotta tiles which were resistant to the soot of Victorian London. The largest of the famous dinosaur skeletons in the central hall is a diplodocus.

  12. Royal Albert Hall

The acoustics here were once so bad, it was said this was the only venue where a composer could be sure of hearing his work twice. It was corrected in 1969 by putting diffusing discs on the ceiling.
